Five for Friday – April 26th

I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching to share five random things about my week.
1.  It’s that time of year, things are breaking and just a mess: 
2.  My Scholastic book 20 Super Spelling Centers is available in May’s SeeSaw Catalog.
3.  I helped my nephew with his letter Vv, Pre-K homework.  I am so impressed with his coloring and he is so proud, that he is scrunching up his face in a cheesy smile! 
4.  I love reading the comments on pins of my posts, but I kind of feel like I am snooping.  This one made me smile and laugh.  I love the label and then the question!   If only she saw it now with the headphone tangle and crushed seating.   

5.  I finally got around to adding custom categories to my TpT store.

I also finished updating this file.  It took forever because the font needed to be adjusted for every word! Plus, adding the editable text boxes got tricky.  I love when I think something will take me like an hour and it ends up taking days!  Don’t you?
And I know I already shared five, but who can resist SHOES!  I have to wear flats for a month because of an ankle injury that never healed right.  I am desperate to find more flats!

  4. My tangled cords are WAY worse than your tangled cords! I should take a pic and post it. It's seriously a mess and I just push the shelf against it and look the other way! Jealous of your shoes! As we are moving from boots weather to flats weather here in Ohio, I'm quickly realizing that a shopping trip is in order soon!

  5. We had to send home a letter to parents this weekend asking them to bring in just a few more supplies for the end of the year..the scissors are disappearing and we are out of glue! But anyway, I have a shoe obsession too and I love your flats 😉

  12. Your nephew is a real cutie and *LOVE* the flats! I remember when I used to wear heels everyday…I'd be really happy, if I could find a tennis shoe that looks like a dress shoe now, lol! Happy shoe shopping! =)

  13. With our state math assessment this week, I had that 5 quiet minutes to have to stare at my classroom and see the disheveled mess of my computers too! HA. My smarites must have felt the same way because I had a few that actually cleaned it FOR ME during studyhall. It must have been bugging them too.

  15. LOVE those flats!! I'm being forced to step down into flat land more often, too, because this preggo belly in heels is throwing off my center of gravity! 😉 A trip to DSW may be in my future!

    I had to laugh at that Pinterest comment! People have to remember that you don't buy everything all at once. Maybe I should host Linky Party comparing our FIRST year classrooms to now…the idea wheels are turning. Stay tuned for that one!!

  19. Love all those flats! I live in flats even though I'm barely five feet tall. Ha.

    I feel you on the tweaking of the sight words. I'm working on a pack now, and though it was a pain-I think learning Photoshop was worth it! Have you considered using it? I know most teachers use power point to make TPT stuff, but it's a little more forgiving once you get the hang of it.

    You've inspired me to sneak from my family tomorow and shoe shop.
