Are you looking for a way to create and edit your teacher plan book digitally? Do you want to reduce your teacher planning time? If so keep reading this post and check out my Google Teacher Plan Book Bundle!
This is the lesson plan book template I use in my own classroom. I love how I can easily edit it from anywhere because it is Google based. I can also share the plans which are made through Google Slides with my ENL push in teacher, subs, and my administrators.
By sharing your plans digitally with co-teachers, AIS support staff, and/or administrators, you can allow them to edit or allow them only to view you plans. You don’t even have to email the plans each week! You could house them in a folder in your Google Drive and make sure to share the access as “view only” and add their email. Each week/month they can check your folder.
This Google Slides Digital Plan Book resource comes with multiple plan book format options. The templates I utilize are the two page per week ones, which are shown above. I find this format allow me enough space to type my detailed plans and yet I am still be able to print and read the lesson plans. The one screen sized planning page per week, shown below, would work well for someone with a pretty consistent daily schedule or someone who wants to view their plans on a desktop computer.
You can purchase these teacher plan book templates and more in my bundle or just the plan book templates HERE. Both the bundle and the lesson plan templates come with three different lesson plan formats, printable covers, center planning sheets, small group planning sheets, and a formal observation lesson plan write up.
Here is a tutorial of how to customize the templates to meet your needs.
I recently started printing my plans after creating them digitally. I like having a hard copy on my desk. It is so easy to print as well. I save my plans as a PDF, download, and print them. I find this keeps all the borders even and doesn’t cut off your plans, as opposed to printing straight from Google.
I found this lay flat binder to put my printed lesson plans in. I love that it comes with plastic sleeves and can lay flat. I save so much space. You can click below to check it out.
I separate the sections of my plan book with divider tabs. I purchased type on labels and I love how neat my planner looks now. You can grab templates for the divider tabs below and you can check out the actual tabs HERE.
My plan book binder contains more than just my lesson plans, I put some of my organizational forms in there as well. You can grab everything you need to be organized with my Get Organized: Ultimate Bundle.
Each week, I create a classroom news letter. The classroom newsletter templates which are available in this bundle, the ultimate get organized bundle, or for purchase separately. These are a great way to enhance the home school connection.
The newsletters help to keep parents informed and organized. They are also a time saver, in that they prevent confusion and numerous notes/messages from parents. The newsletters allow for parents to have a glimpse into what is going on in your classroom that week, allows them to plan ahead, check out classroom photos (add a hyperlink), and to be aware of upcoming events. The newsletters are a place to share triumphs, too. My own classroom newsletter “Shout Out” section houses birthdays, awards, thank you’s, and Xtra Math level milestones. Each week, I would post the Google Slides version of the newsletter through my Google Classroom and I would send a printed copy home as well.
Keep all your grades in one place! Looking to keep track of who brought in forms? Use the Google Sheets digital check list. These digital lists can be purchased through the plan book bundle, the ultimate get organized bundle, or separately by clicking below.
Grab these free planning and birthday organizational forms just for you! They are also included in the ultimate bundle. Click below to grab them.
You can check out the birthday goodies I give my students HERE.
