Welcome to my latest classroom decor theme…calming pastels! Over the years, I have had so many decor themes (click here if you want to see) but this one is absolutely perfect for first graders or any primary classroom for that matter! To design this decor theme, I utilized kid friendly graphics and a primary font. I have created a classroom that is not only esthetically pleasing, cohesive, but also doubles as environmental print for my primary and ELL students. I have used matte laminating for all of my decor (grab some here). I hope you enjoy the tour!

Welcome students with their names on the door. I also have signs that say where we are. The helper of the day gets to change these. Links:

I have this wall of closet doors in my classroom. They are actually dry erase boards instead of bulletin boards on the doors. They are barely hanging onto the doors and years of use have made it so that I have to cover them something permanent using hot glue. Here are the posters and signs I use to cover those boards:
- Rules & Schedule Signs
- Color Posters (different than the ones included in the bundle)
- Bulletin Board Backing Paper – Hands down the best kind to get!

- Lunch Menu Label (FREE Here) – the lunch menu is placed inside a photo mat with a page protector taped to the back.
- Hygiene posters (FREE) – these are now placed on the closet doors as well.

I store all my monthly materials, like centers and project samples in bins above my closets. Each bin is labeled by month.
