Here are some photos of what we did in first grade before winter break.
These trees were so simple to make. I have the directions in my Have Yourself a Very Common Core Christmas or Free Smartboard directions here.
We made gifts for our parents:
The ornamets are from ACMoore and are plastic.
These hand and foot print reindeer were also easy to make. I let my firsties pick whatever eyes and nose they wanted. So we have some green reindeer noses and some pink eyed reindeer! I have learned to let things go and give kids more creative freedom. So much less stress for me and more fun for them!
We continued to work on making a ten to add. Some of the kids were so good at it, they did not even need the mats! Common Core works!
They loved doing this gingerbread graphtivity! They love anything involving food.
I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!!

Thanks for the pictures. I get so many ideas from you. Your students are very lucky to have you as their teacher. I also love your products. Thanks for making my job easier.

Loved how you used the elves to spread kindness throughout your school, especially with fun candy cane decorations!
