I’m not a bit Irish (I’m actually of Italian and German decent) but everyone is Irish on St. Patrick’s day. This “Wanted Poster” is a cute way to turn all of your students into Irish leprechauns. Just have them put an “O'” or a “Mc” in front of their last name when completing the poster; unless of course they already have one! I do this activity after reading Looking for Leprechauns by Sheila Keenan.

darling! adding it to my st.patty's day repertoire!
My kids love buying 'Read a Book' to another class in the store on Friday. They create a mini lesson. One of my girls has prepared a St. Patty's story. She is wearing a green wig and a Patty's hat. We are preparing a craft. I think we will get the Kinders excited and send a picture of Maya in the outfit with the book in advance. Great Addition!! Thanks.

Any idea why this book is so expensive to purchase? Our local libraries don't carry it but the price is outrageous! What am I missing?
It is a Scholastic book, check their website. Any other book about catching a leprechaun would work. That is nuts about the price!!
