St. Patrick’s Day Classroom Ideas, Freebies, and More!

Are you looking for some fun and engaging St. Patrick’s Day Activities to do with your students?   This post has everything you need to plan and create a fun day or even week of St. Patrick’s Day themed activities.

I have so many freebies for you, too!

Update March 2025…I have created a week of NO PREP Digital St Patrick’s Day slides for you!  These St Patrick’s Day slides are a hit with my students and are great for morning meeting.  They are engaging and interactive.

You can grab a FREE sample which is similar to a day from my St. Patrick’s Day slides below.  Click to get a forced copy for your Google Drive!

These St Patrick’s Day partner puzzle cards are perfect for morning greeting, partner work, or a sensory bin.  They are super cheap, too!  Click to check them out.

There are so many fun St. Patrick’s Day books out there.  Click to check out my favorites.

These FREE Lucky Banners are also a ton of fun and they are totally FREE!

I always display the banners with my Leprechaun “Wanted” posters.   I take a photo of each student wearing a leprechaun hat and have them complete the poster or banner (two versions are included).  The students always have a lot of fun completing them.
You could also have the students draw pictures of themselves as leprechauns.  It is super cute and easy to do.  The slide shown below is included in the free slides linked in this post and the posters can be found here.
If you are looking for no-prep St. Patrick’s Day literacy and math activities, check out this resource.

Here is a cute graphing activity.  It includes a leprechaun page topper.

If you are looking for fun math activities, check out these Common Core Aligned math centers.
Math is always better with food!  This graphing activity utilizes Skittles (a peanut free candy).
Here is a free graphing activity for your students.  It goes with Lucky Charms Cereal but you have to check that the marshmallows still match.  They seem to change them often.  I have used it and just told my students to put zero if there isn’t a certain marshmallow!
Here is another freebie for you!  I attach gold crayons (Amazon Associate Link) to my FREE St. Patrick’s Day HW Pass and give them out as a St. Patrick’s Day Gift.
Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you found some resources to help you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in school.  Please, pin your favorites from this post. Pinterest images:

Teacher truth: class sizes matter to both students Teacher truth: class sizes matter to both students and teachers.

It is a Sunday night and I am at home prepping for the week. As a 25 year veteran teacher, I should have everything done. I should be able to get everything done at school but I can’t. Maxed out classes sizes mean that I can get much less prepping done during my preps.

If you are a tired and frustrated teacher of a maxed out class. I hear you and am right there with you.
