Back to School Teacher Style

I love to shop and I thought to myself, why not share my teacher style outfits on my blog?   So here I am.  I am no model; just your average petite (5’2), 30-something teacher.  
I cannot believe school starts for me on Tuesday and the kids come on Wednesday!  I thought I would share some of my back to school teacher looks with you.   Mind you, we don’t have AC so most of my outfits are going to be a bit summery at first!

This is going to be my first day with kids outfit.

This dress might be a bit too fancy for work.  It has a bit of a shine to it.  I may dress down with a denim jacket and flats.  It was on sale because it was a Spring dress.  I am big on buying at the end of the season and saving for the next near!

I have to say that SheIn, is a cheap site with cute clothes but they are see through!  You are going to need a slip to go under most things.  I LOVE the SPANX slip below from Nordstrom.  It is not going to really suck you in, like you would think SPANX would, but it stays in place and is not too long. 
A denim jacket should be a staple in every teachers’s wardrobe!

The Lush Tunic works well for rainy days, too.

One more thing you must look into: a steamer.   My aunt got me one and my life was forever changed.

*This is my closet room (I don’t have kids ok).   I plan on blogging about it on Old House Charm when I get all the photographs done.

  1. Love seeing all of your outfits! It's also nice seeing a different type of blog post. Being a former teacher turned stay at home mom, a lot of the 'in classroom' posts don't relate to me anymore, but your fashion one did! Thanks for sharing!

  4. LOVE this post 🙂 I'm not allowed to ever wear t-shirts at school (against the dress code), but the Nap Queen t-shirt will get plenty of use on the weekend 🙂

  5. Our school has a strict dress code. We can't wear sandals (or any shoes that show our toes) and we can't show our kneecaps. Our dresses and skirts have to be longer than yours. Also, if we wear leggings, we still have to wear something over them that covers our knees. Otherwise your outfits look cute and comfy!

  6. love these outfit ideas! have you ever had a problem with SheIn? I've been reading some reviews and it looks sketchy.. but i LOVE a good deal and would love to stock up on some dresses for school.

    • I would say it is along the same quality lines as Forever 21. I wouldn't buy pants or sweaters from them but for dresses, I have found them fine…just see through!
