Magic e and Plans for the Week

This week in first grade we are focusing on magic e.  With our new Words of the Week phonic sequence, we decided to teach Magic e earlier in the year.  Many of the students are already reading above grade level and need to understand Magic e in order to successfully read books at those levels.
Here are some of the activities we will be doing this week.  Just click on the images to see the packets on TpT.
This center is by my colleague, Janine Every.
Here are some great YouTube videos for Magic E.
Here are my plans for the week.  Download for the product links.

For science this week, we are starting States of Matter.  I am using Cheryl Saoud‘s Interactive Science Journals packet for this.
I am also utilizing Brain Pop Jr.

I am linking up with Deedee again.  Click to hop over.
I hope you have a great week.  Happy teaching!

LOVE your use of BrainPOP! I wish the teachers at my school would list their topics by month so I could schedule games and vids for them to watch and play.

I love because the puzzles are self correcting, have clear visuals, and are sturdy! This would also make a great later in the year K center activity.
