Problem Solved and Visual Plans for the Week of 3/31

Do you remember my post last week about the “bane of my existence?”
You all were so sweet and gave me some awesome suggestions.  So many of you suggested the Classroom Friendly Supplies Pencil Sharpener.  I checked it out and thought it was worth a shot.  It came in the mail today and I could not wait to bust that thing out of the box and try it out.  I was AMAZED by how well it worked.  My classroom aide and I went a little crazy sharpening pencils!  Every single pencil we tried, sharpened to a point, even the cheap ones.  Thanks everyone for reading and commenting.  Thank you Classroom Friendly Supplies Pencil Sharpener for the amazing pencil sharpener!  Click here to check out the sharpener.  It is made by a teacher, too!
Visual Plans

Hi everyone!  I am back with another  visual plan download.  I have the best intentions to post these every week, but my phonics centers just take me so long to make!  In the past two weeks, I posted two new ones: Long A and Long I.
You can click the images above to download my plans.  The plans include hyperlinks for the packets utilized.
Here are some of the packets I am using this week:
For literacy centers this week, we are focusing on Long I with my newest Long I Literacy Center Packet.

For writing, we are learning all about letter writing with my Letter Writing Unit.   This is my favorite unit that I have created for TpT.  The students love it, too!  They are so focused on their writing.

For science, we are learning all about weather.  I am utilizing Cupcake for the Teacher’s adorable Whimsical Weather packet!   I never did a formal weather unit before and I am excited about Cupcake’s.
In math centers, we are utilizing my 0-120 Charts & Activities Math Center Packet.  Today at math centers, the students told me how much fun the centers were.  I love that I can keep math fun.
I hope you have a great week!

Erica you have an aide? You are one blessed teacher!! I've been thinking about purchasing that sharpener, but have been a little "iffy" about it. I wasn't sure if it was worth all the hype. I know you keep real. =) So I definitely will be getting one. Have a fab day friend.

Many of my students have those "cutesy" pencils with the plastic wrapping around it. The kind that melts and ruins my electric!! Can the cutesy pencils be used in these sharpeners??

Hi Erica! I love your visual plans. Do you happen to have your newsletter template saved somewhere on your blog? I would love to use that format for my newsletter. Im horrible with creating that kind of stuff, so the one I use now is pretty boring. Please help me spice up my newsletter. Thanks a bunch!

Oh my gosh! I MUST check out that pencil sharpener… nothing annoys me more than wasting my time sharpening pencils… only to have them turn out YUCKY anyways! Thanks for the tip!

    Take care,
