Entomologist Glyph

I created this Entomologist Glyph “craftivity”  to go with my ant unit.  We are studying ants in my classroom and I wanted an art activity to hang in the hall for Spring Exhibit.  An ant version of this glyph will be included in my Ants packet, if I ever finish it!!!  In the meantime, I thought I would get this out there to you.  I hope you snatch it up for only $2!  I have to warn you, this is a multi-day project if you don’t pre-cut for the students.  I mixed pre-cut pieces with the students tracing and cutting their own outfits.  Click the picture above to check it out.  
Also, do any of you have a good link for multicultural skin tone construction paper?  The pack I got was a joke!  No shades of tan! I ended up using some tan computer paper for a few of the projects.  I always let the kids pick their own shades of skin and hair tone and it was very frustrating not having a variety for them to choose from.

  2. This looks great! We are in the middle of our bug unit. Most of the kids voted yesterday that they wanted to be an entomologist when they grow up!! If you find a good store for the paper, let me know! I have looked and can never find it either!!

  8. Hi Erica, I love your stuff! May I ask where you find your clip art (especially the polka dot stuff-circles, frames, etc…). I'd love to make some things for my classroom but don't know where to begin.
