The Lost Tooth Club Take-Home Bag

When a student loses a tooth, he/she gets to take home The Lost Tooth Club Bag.  His/her name goes on The Lost Tooth Club Bar Graph.  I have uploaded The Lost Tooth Club Take-Home Bag Packet to TpT and you can purchase it for only $2 (click {here})!

Here are some books I recommend placing in The Lost Tooth Club Bag.

Here is a link for Arden Johnson’s The Lost Tooth Club Fan page.  You can have your students’ enter to win a signed copy of the book by drawing a picture or sending a story of how he/she lost a tooth.  Pretty cool!

Here is a freebie for you from the packet!  Just click on the picture to download.
I made this into a poster using Vistaprint!  Click on my link to the left.
Let’s say you have a child who did not lose a tooth in the year they are with you.  You can either let them come back the next year to get a certificate or you can celebrate them with a “You Went a Whole School Year Without Losing a Tooth” sign.
This is included in the packet.

Super cute! I have a question- do you have something special that you do with those children who don't loose a tooth during the school year? Do you have any suggestions on how I can keep them from feeling excluded? Have you ever run into this issue before?

    Thanks!

After looking at the kit again, I see you answered my question! My fault for missing it the first time. Thanks for putting such great things together!

Kids who just loss their tooth can gain confidence in a club like this. Those colorful bags and books can definitely uplift their spirits and encourage them toward a fast recovery.

Teacher truth: class sizes matter to both students Teacher truth: class sizes matter to both students and teachers.

It is a Sunday night and I am at home prepping for the week. As a 25 year veteran teacher, I should have everything done. I should be able to get everything done at school but I can’t. Maxed out classes sizes mean that I can get much less prepping done during my preps.

If you are a tired and frustrated teacher of a maxed out class. I hear you and am right there with you.

I absolutely LOVED that our PTA made it free this year. It made all 25 students very happy. How does your school handle the pumpkin patch.

Many years ago when TpT was at its peak, I thought Many years ago when TpT was at its peak, I thought of leaving and becoming a full time teacher-author. But there were way too many reasons for me not to, like that I loved my job, that I was single, that being a teacher in NY meant I had good benefits, tenure, and a pension. So I brushed that thought off and continued on teaching. I continued on sharing resources with you and worked at a pace that was reasonable for someone teaching full-time and navigating life’s challenges.
My heart goes out to all the teachers who did leave and have became teacher entrepreneurs. I know you are struggling with what to do now that TpT has changed their parameters. I wish you success in whatever you decide.
But this post is for all the teachers in classrooms who have stuck with me, asked my thoughts, and wondered what I was going to do next. Well, I’m not changing a thing because I have only ever sold digital teaching resources on TpT and I will continue to do so.
I want to thank you for your continued support your likes, comments, and shares always make my day. I love being able to share teaching resources with you and hopefully I have saved you time and maybe made you laugh once in a while. ❤️Erica
