This is hilarious! I showed it to my husband, who teaches first grade and is going to buy it to use in his class. He was wondering if you do anything else with it besides making the book. The kindergarten teacher in me just wants to make the book for the cuteness factor to see what my thinkers come up with! =)

    Thanks everyone!
You could also make a bulletin board display. In the packet, I have links to websites that explain the meanings of the idioms. You could go over the real meanings and see how the students did. Someone also emailed me that Scholastic News just did an article on idioms.

Save and use leftover colored copies as dividers. This makes them less bulky, than if you had used binder clips.
When you near the end of the week, pull the papers from the tray and sort into the weekday drawers and centers.
